Med spa service packages that sell for 2027

Med spa service packages for 2027, what each contains, how vial yield sets injectable pricing, and which state board governs treatment scope.

What to take away

  • Sell a small set of packages with hard edgesa fixed number of visits, a use-by window, a named owner and a written price.
  • Typical 2027 ranges: injectable series $500 to $1,400, memberships $99 to $199 a month, device series $1,500 to $3,500.
  • Price injectables from vial yield once, then reuse that arithmetic for every injectable offer.
  • A device package page may claim only the endpoint the device is cleared for.
  • Write the expiry, transfer and refund rules before the first package is sold.

What changed between 2024 and 2027

Injectable supply costs kept climbing while many clinics held unit prices flat. Margin now depends on how completely a vial is used.

Consumers who bought a single treatment in 2023 or 2024 are now asked to commit to a series or a membership. LaserAway sells laser hair removal as six to eight sessions on a set schedule. Milan Laser sells unlimited-session packages with a lifetime guarantee.

Device clearances keep arriving, and each bounds the wording a package page may use. State boards also keep revising supervision rules, so a 2024 summary is not a safe basis for a 2027 package. Our med spa service packages for new owners covers the same ground for a clinic selling for the first time.

The package line-up and typical prices

PackageWhat is insideTypical US range
Injectable starter seriesThree visits over 12 to 16 weeks, photos at each visit, aftercare sheet, rebooking hold$500 to $1,400
Membership maintenanceMonthly credit or set visits, member rates, booking priority, rollover cap$99 to $199 a month
Device seriesFour to six sessions of one named device, spacing per labeling, closing maintenance visit$1,500 to $3,500
Skin program with an estheticianFour facials or exfoliation sessions plus a home-care protocol$600 to $900
Event sequenceDated appointments counting back from the patient's event, written change cutoffPremium over the skin program
Post-procedure recoveryFollow-up visits plus a named recovery kit$250 to $600
Corporate blockCredit block, named administrator, one invoice, use-by dateNegotiated

Ranges are indicative and move with unit count, device model, city and clinician pay. A single HydraFacial session often runs $150 to $250, which is why the four-session package sits near $600.

Event sequences and corporate blocks only work if the rooms are blocked before the sale, which a booking flow that holds up on a busy day shows how to protect.

Clearances set the words you may use on a device page. CoolSculpting Elite is cleared for fat reduction, Ultherapy for non-invasive brow lift and neck or chin lifting, and Morpheus8 for soft tissue coagulation and resurfacing. The FDA aesthetic and cosmetic devices page lists what each device is cleared to do.

The esthetician package is the cheapest to staff, because it runs on licensed skincare specialists. The BLS skincare specialists page describes consultation, sanitation, product recommendation and state licensing as the shape of that work.

Pricing an injectable series from vial yield

Run this arithmetic once, then reuse it for every injectable package. The same method covers device time and room costs in our guide to charging properly for med spa services.

  1. Read V, the units in a full vial, from the product's FDA labeling. Botox Cosmetic lists 100 units per vial, and Dysport lists 300.
  2. Record C, your landed cost for that vial, from your invoice.
  3. Record U, the units your clinician reliably recovers, which is V minus documented waste.
  4. Divide C by U for cost per unit.
  5. Multiply by the units sold in the package for supply cost.
  6. Subtract supply cost, injector pay, medical director allocation, room time and card fees from the package price for contribution.

Vial Yield Pricing Steps

  1. Find V in FDA labeling
  2. Find C on your invoice
  3. Calculate U as V minus waste
  4. Divide C by U for cost per unit
  5. Multiply units sold by C ÷ U
  6. Subtract all costs for contribution

Public list prices sanity-check C. Botox Cosmetic 100-unit vials often land around $550 to $700 for a practice, Dysport 300-unit vials around $500 to $650, and filler syringes around $350 to $450. Those are typical figures, and your invoice decides the real number.

Know the unit count before you discount, because a package discount is a unit discount. Treat waste as a pricing input, since a low recovery rate raises cost per unit.

Rules that keep package disputes out of your week

Five clauses belong in every purchase agreement:

  • Expirystate the date or the number of months, and print it on the receipt.
  • Transferstate whether the balance moves to another person, and to whom.
  • Refundstate what is refundable, in what form, and after which visit.
  • Photosget written consent before any before-and-after image and store images under your privacy policy.
  • Recordskeep the agreement, the visit log and the redemption history for as long as your state requires.

Package Recordkeeping Rules

  • Expiry window on agreement and receipt
  • Transfer rule stated, including if disallowed
  • Refund rule stated, including unused visits
  • Redemption record tied to patient chart
  • Monthly reconciliation against bank deposit

The refund rule generates the most calls. A pro-rata refund at the price paid per visit, minus any promotional discount, closes most of them.

Who may inject, and which board decides

State law decides who may inject and under what supervision. Rules shift most years, so pull the board's current text before a package page goes to print.

California uses the Medical Board of California and the Board of Registered Nursing. Texas uses the Texas Medical Board and the Texas Board of Nursing. New York licenses both through the State Education Department. Florida uses the Florida Board of Medicine and the Florida Board of Nursing.

Ownership rules bite earlier than most owners expect. The unlicensed practice statute in California shapes who may own and run a clinic there. In Canada the province decides, and Ontario's Medicine Act, 1991 defines medical practice and controlled acts.

The medical director agreement needs three clauses: who may inject, what supervision or delegation is required, and what the supervising physician must document. Device series also carry machine purchase and service costs, covered in med spa equipment for a first-time owner.

Common questions

What should a 2027 injectable package cost a patient?
Typical US clinics quote $500 to $1,400 for a three-visit series, with the top of that band at higher unit counts. Metro and clinician pay move it.
Do I have to sell device sessions in multiples?
No law requires it. Sessions sell in series because one pass rarely produces the result a patient is buying, and the clearance describes the endpoint rather than the session count.
Can my package page use before-and-after photos?
Only with written patient consent, stored under your privacy policy, alongside claims that match the device clearance.
How often should I reset package prices?
Check vial invoices monthly and reset packages quarterly. A supplier increase you absorb for a year is a margin decision made by default.
